All Set in La Tranche for the 2017 Slalom Championships<\/h1>\n<\/div>\n

The <\/span>2017 <\/span>IFCA Slalom Worlds for Women and the European Championships<\/span> for Men kicked off at ease. <\/span><\/h3>\n

A total of 71 competitors signed up of which 23 Girls \u2013 48 Men from 13 different Nations and 2 continents.<\/p>\n

The event will run from the 4<\/span>th<\/span><\/sup> trough the 8<\/span>th<\/span><\/sup> on the sandy beach <\/span>in front<\/span> of the famous water sport center \u201c Cercle Nautique Tranchais<\/a> \u201d in La Tranche Sur Mer. <\/span><\/p>\n

The first competition day ended with A No Go, the weather was hot and the wind too light.<\/p>\n

Competitors were having a hang out day at the beach while being on standby and the race committee went out to test, to measure winds and made sure they are ready for the next coming days.<\/p>\n

In the evening the opening ceremony took place at a bran new building \u201d restaurant\u201d Pavillon de l\u2019Aunis<\/i> where the Major of La Tranche Sur Mer proudly welcomed the competitors, followed by opening and welcome speeches of the Event organizer, the IFCA Class President, The Principal Race Officer and the Famous Windsurfing Champion Antoine Albeau.<\/p>\n

Next days first possible start is scheduled at 8:30,<\/p>\n

The rest of the week looks interesting and we look forward to some light to medium wind racing.<\/p>\n
